Welcome back! We have been hard at work over at 1005 W Kirkland, and this time we are going to chat about our new taproom! This taproom is going to be a complete upgrade from everything you've seen from us, so you know we are excited to show it off!
Things are quite underway as you can see! Our plumbing has been trenched, the walls have been cleaned, and we have discovered a few interesting finds! For example, notice that window in the interior wall? We found it INSIDE THE WALL! That leads me to reminisce about what once was before I go into what will be...
Building History
This entire parcel was once originally built to suit an electrical contractor company. This front building served as their office, with other buildings serving as warehousing, vehicle maintenance, and general communications. At one point, a giant radio tower stood over the warehouse to reach trucks in the field. (Imagine that! Thank goodness for cell phones!)
As the parcel changed hands, this front building has been used as office space for a variety of businesses and most recently a collection of music studios making some great local tunes. Rumor has it you might still be able to hear some of this music being played by the very musicians in a couple of the bars nearby...
Taproom Overview
Now its our turn to create a new chapter for this parcel, and we hope you'll enjoy it! This taproom will feature a beautiful "L" shaped bar with a 16 tap draft system serving up our ever rotating list of brews. The taproom will flow along the bar from one entrance to the other, both merging at a corner spot that will sport a mini-stage perfect for our trivia nights, comedy nights, and singer-songwriter nights! What else do you want to see on stage? Let us know!
You'll find a variety of styles of seating available, from booths to high tops to traditional tables. Plenty of windows within the space will allow for daylight to brighten the room and showcase the theme of natural wood and minimalist finishing.
New Amenities
Yes, we will have a kitchen! We learned early on that space for a kitchen would really elevate our taproom experience. All we can say for now is that you can expect a big announcement soon regarding our food offerings, so stay tuned!
In addition, our new sized brewhouse will allow us to can! You can expect to find an awesome glass front fridge stocked with all sorts of new options for to-go beer from bottles to 4-packs and more!
The Quiet Room
Need a more comfortable spot to "work from home" that isn't your home? Come check out our quiet room! This space off our main taproom seats 10-15 people comfortably and will be cut off from the music and chatter of the main taproom. Enjoy a peaceful spot to work on that novel, answer those emails, sketch, read, or relax! Need a quick conference room? This room can also be booked at low rates for whatever your needs may be.
What's Next?
Next time we hope to show you the developments in the brewhouse, as well as some other improvements we are making on the property. As always, keep your questions and comments coming by commenting here or reaching out to info@cgbrewery.com !
